Welcome to my blog! I'm going to use this space as a window into my studio, a place to share thoughts, work in progress and sneak peeks of my latest projects, as if we have just bumped into one another for a natter....oh the chance would be a fine thing!
The last 12 months have been interesting to say the least. Covid-19 is doing it's work, sweeping across the globe, well, you know how it is. Here in the UK we are in lockdown, the third of it's kind, and it's tough on many people.
I do feel incredibly grateful that I can work from home, freelancing has been part of my life, on and off, for the last 21 years. I'm no stranger to working on my own at home, though you will always find me having completed my own morning rituals of showering, dressing, walking the dog and eating breakfast before I take to the keyboard. Equally at the end of the day, it's changing into my comfies, writing my journal before easing into the evening. My routines keep me sane, they get me in and out of work mode which helps me.
So 2021 has brought some changes, I am now part of BNI Herts of Oak, a business network, where I am offering graphic design to anyone who needs help finding their visual voice. Alongside that I am working on my other creative projects, especially my illustrated mandalas, which were the creative gift out of covid chaos. Over in my etsy shop, you can see a selection of prints from 2020. I am in the middle of my next mandala, an oceanic treat.
